COVID-19 and How we are Here to Help

We all use the internet. Whether for following the news, our jobs, grabbing a recipe for tonight, or read this blog, there’s a space on here for everyone. But the internet has come a long way from the initial World Wide Web that launched in 1991. With the fantastic strides the internet has made in its ability to connect us all, online counseling has never been more popular.

So why now more than ever might online counseling be the right decision for you? There are so many benefits to counseling, far more than one blog post could do it justice. But I’d like to focus on a few key benefits for online counseling and therapy that relate to the way we’re living our lives today:

Accessibility: In our current days of social-distancing and mandated stay-at-home orders, we know the level of stress our public officials are putting on us to stay home (check out @Whereslightfoot on Instagram for proof!). With online counseling, you won’t have to leave your home, deal with the hassle of driving through snow in April, and yes, I know what you’re thinking, you can totally commit to, schedule, and attend your counseling first online counseling session in sweatpants. No need to get all dressed up!

Confidentiality: As with any counseling session at Counseling, confidentiality is always at the forefront of what we do. You’ll receive the same level of privacy and confidentiality you’d normally receive with an in-person session. All our online platforms are HIPPA compliant and secure, so rest assured that everything you share with your therapist will remain between the two of you.

Dealing with life transitions: In these uncertain times, new challenges arise that many of us never anticipated we’d face. Counseling is a fantastic way to discuss these roadblocks and strategies we can take to overcome them. A counselor is ready to discuss these newfound challenges and work with you to face them.

Holistic wellness: Through counseling we can cultivate hope, empowerment, life skills, wellness, and so much more. Here at Counseling, our vision is to foster the personal, emotional, and social well-being of each individual to help you reach your fullest potential and removing potential roadblocks that stand in your way of doing so. Whether it’s online or in- person, our staff are committed to creating a warm environment for all.

Currently accepting new clients, feel free to visit us to learn more about our practice, and schedule an appointment with one of our wonderful counselors.
